Congratulations to the entire track and field team for winning the Zone overall title for Mrs Mergl’s last year of coaching. 30 of the 31 years have been a ZONE WIN for her.  Awesome job to 43 athletes who advanced to SOSSA for next week in track and field. A special announcement goes out to our student who broke 2 ZONE records yesterday. He broke the Javelin record by 2.5 metres that was set in 2009, he threw 51.62 metres. He broke the Pole Vault record that was set in 2005. He jumped 4 metres breaking the record by 20 centimeters. Amazing job!

Just a reminder to all athletes who competed yesterday that there is no practice today but they must be present on Thursday. If you are done competing then hand in your singlet and spikes to Mrs Mergl ASAP.

There will be a brief girls soccer meeting in room 306 right at the beginning of lunch. Don’t be late.
