Days of Significance:

Mennonite Heritage Week (Sept 9-13)-The presence of Mennonites in what is now Canada dates back to the late 1700s. They came to this country to escape war and persecution in other lands. They risked everything to come to a place where they would be safe, not to mention free to practice their faith and live their lives in peace. The history of the Mennonites and their ability to contribute to building an open, welcoming, and prosperous society is a testament to the values they hold dear.

If you want to charm a rower, tell them they are crew-ly amazing, oars-ome and boat-iful!

More importantly if you want to give this very fun sport of rowing a try and participate with one of the biggest and most oar-some teams at Crossley, come out for the Learn to Row program this Fall. It’s easy to do, flexible and a great opportunity to try something uniquely Canadian and on one of the best courses in North America. The program runs on Saturdays and Sundays at 9am or 11am. It begins this upcoming weekend. Bring a friend or make a friend at the Learn to Row - everything is possible. If you missed the open house this past Saturday, no sweat- stop by and visit with Mr. Ruscitti in Room 206 (preferably at the beginning of lunch). You never know unless you go- go blue and gold!
