TODAY’S NEWS

We are looking to nominate a Youth Citizen of the Year.  If you have gone above and beyond in our school and community, please see the Student Services website for the nomination form.  

CLUBS

The results from yesterday’s trivia game are in! There was a four way tie for second place. Answering 8 of the  13 questions correctly was Mr. Petro, Mrs Zwierschke, Mrs. Kiley and Mrs. Stickney’s period 2 classes! And in first place, answering 9 questions correctly, was Mr. Smith’s Grade 12 physics class!

Crossley for Christ will be starting up this Thursday at lunch! Join us in room 215 for a short devotional and a great time to fellowship and meet new friends. Bring your lunch and a friend. Everyone is welcome!

Let’s get ready to rumbleeee! Get ready for some friendly competition in our school wide dodgeball tournament. Tournament starts this Monday.  Find a friend, sign up in the gym foyer. Don’t miss your chance to show off your skills, have some fun, and have your chance to claim the title of dodgeball champions! Remember, teamwork makes the dream work! Let the games begin!! 

Today is colour wars day - Any students on spare during period 1 who are participating in colour wars are asked to go to room 402 to meet with Mr. Dickinson. Could period 1 teachers please go to the email sent this morning to record the number of students, by grade, who are wearing their grade colour. Gr 9’s will be wearing red, gr 10’s yellow, gr 11’s green and gr 12’s blue! There is no class activity today, as our grade 9’s are going to Ball’s Falls! Tomorrow we will have a class activity during period 3. Friday is going to be pj day with a final class activity during period 4.

There will be an Interact meeting, tomorrow at lunch, in room 303 —Interact Club is the largest leadership service organization for high school students. We emphasize community service and give students opportunities to gain volunteer hours by participating with local charities.  This meeting will be to plan our long term goals for the rest of the semester, and would be a perfect opportunity for new members to join in. We hope to see you there!

SPORTS

Cheer will be meeting out on the field at 2:15 to 3:30 today. Please be prepared to stunt with proper shoes, hair tied back and no jewelry on!
