Days of Significance: 

International Dwarfism Awareness Day-Every year on October 25, International Dwarfism Awareness Day celebrates little people. The day also spreads awareness for achondroplasia, a bone growth disorder that causes dwarfism.

Dress Purple Day-Dress Purple Day is an opportunity to educate communities on the challenges families are facing, how we work with them, and the important role that their own families, all social service agencies, and economic and social systems play in providing families with help and ensuring children's safety and well-being.

Simchat Torah or Rejoicing in the Torah is the beginning of the synagogue's annual reading cycle. It begins at the previous sundown. (Judaism)

Last call for the College Information Program ~ all Ontario colleges are on site at Niagara College on October 28th. Depart from school at 9:15am. Please pick up your permission form from guidance. Space is limited, this is on a first come first serve basis. Have forms signed and please return to guidance ASAP.

Attention to all those who signed up for the McMaster University and Niagara College presentations. The venue has moved to the library because of grad photos in the lecture hall. 

Hey, super cyclones! Is everyone ready for another spirit week? Remember activities and spirit days will earn your grade colour wars points! On Monday, there is going to be a class competition during period 2 and Tuesday will be black, orange, and purple day. We will have face painting and an opportunity to win a reward! To get a sneak peak for the rest of the week - see the whiteboard in the cafeteria or any of the posters around the school.

Parlez-vous français? French Club is in room 302 at lunchtime today. Bring your lunch and a friend!

Crossley’s Board Game Cafe is opening next week, but stop by for a tour And reserve a game today. We will start in 305 but end up in 103. Check out our Board Game Cafe at lunch today. 

There will be a prom meeting today at lunch in room 318 for all those in grade twelve interested in planning this year’s prom.

ARTS

Attention Singers! Crossley vocals will be meeting Monday at lunch for a rehearsal. Please bring your lunch with you and see you on Monday!

SPORTS 

A huge congratulations goes out to the members of the Cross Country team on an excellent showing at yesterday’s SOSSA finals meet in Hamilton. Crossley was again well represented at the novice, junior and senior levels for male and female runners. Special mention goes out to the Senior boys team who qualified for OFSAA after an impressive final run of the day. They will run in Ottawa on November 4th. Way to go runners!  

Congratulations to the Sr. Girls Basketball team on their win over Saint Jean de Brebeuf. We will play Saint Jean de Brebeuf on Monday here at Crossley.
