Days of Significance:

Holocaust Education Week-Learning about the Holocaust is critical in countering antisemitism and other forms of hate. Commemorating Holocaust Education Week enables us to: (1) understand key concepts including democracy, dictatorship, collaboration and genocide, (2) acknowledge the dire consequences of hatred and discrimination, (3) better equip ourselves to fight intolerance, prejudice and antisemitism today, and (4) recognize the survivors, heroes, and those who lost their lives.

All Saints Day-This day is for honouring saints, known and unknown. (Christianity - East Orthodox)

Diwali- It means 'row of lights' and is the Hindu New Year. Diwali lasts for 5 days: Day 1 - New Year for business, Day 2 - The triumph of god Vishnu over the evil demon, Day 3 - Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity visits homes lit by lamps, Day 4 - Bali worship day, Day 5 - devoted to brothers and sisters.
