THEATRE FEST! will take place in the drama studio on Tuesday, Dec 17 from 2:30 to 4:00 - so you can still catch the late bus! Don’t miss this awesome array of comedic plays brought to you by grade 10, 11 and 12 drama! This talented group of cast members will surely have you laughing out loud! Tickets are 5$ and will be on sale outside the drama studio at lunch. Seating is limited so get yours early!
The E.L. Crossley gym was transformed into a Winter Wonderland last night as the music department entertained at the Holiday Concert. Thank you to all the performers, and all the staff and students who helped with the preparations and/or supported the evening!
SPORTS
The Jr. Boys' Basketball team completed an exceptional comeback to claim victory in their game away at West Niagara yesterday. The boys trailed by 15 points in the second quarter but then mounted an unlikely comeback, scoring 42 points in the final two quarters. The boys demonstrated teamwork, perseverance, and skill throughout the game. The game ended with a score of 64-55. The boys will look to continue their winning streak later today when they face Denis Morris in the AN Myer tournament.
The Varsity Boys Hockey team travelled to St. Catharines to face Laura Secord. The boys played the game with class and sportsmanship, to start their season off with a win. Congratulations to the two students who scored their first goals playing for Crossley. The goalie had a shutout, and a player had 6 phantom points from the bench. The boys play their first home game next Tuesday in a rematch of last year’s final against Centennial.
Looking for a fun activity next Friday? Come watch the staff take on the Varsity Boys and Girls hockey players in a friendly hockey game. This is a free event for all who are interested, but you must fill out the permission forms through school cash online by Monday.
A ROW-minder to the Crossley Novice rowers that practice continues today and into next week as we prepare for next Thursday’s Candy Cane Challenge. The best way to prepare is to keep showing up. And you are doing an excellent job of it. See you tonight after school in the foyer outside of the main gym. Go blue and gold!
