TODAY’S NEWS

Do you plan to be a student at EL Crossley for next year? Have you completed your course requests for next year? Just a reminder that course requests for next school year are due Feb. 21st.  If you are in need of assistance, make an appointment with Guidance ASAP.

Any students that are interested in going to the Canadian International Auto show on February 19th, it is now available on School Cash Online.  Please see Mr. Etten in room 106 for the parental permission form.  Cost is $35.

Are you going to semi and want to add style to your dress or suit? Anyone interested in getting a corsage, ring or boutonniere for the semi, orders will be taken at lunch this week in the foyer.  Cash or e-transfer is accepted. All profits come directly back to Crossley.

CLUBS

Do you know what mathematicians do after it snows? They make snow angles!  Hello Matheletes- the Gr 9, 10 and 11 Pascal, Cayley and Fermat math contests are coming up on Wednesday February 26th. If you were signed up for the first contest, you are automatically signed up to write this Contest. If you have any questions please speak to Mr. Bhan in room 314. 

A reminder that both French Club and Crochet Club will meet in Room 302 today at lunch. See you there!

ARTS

Attention Musicians!  If you play tenor saxophone and are looking for an extracurricular activity to join, come to jazz band on Wednesday. We have one spot left! Please contact Mrs. Stickney if interested.

Drama:  Students who wish to participate in Star Fest - we meet TODAY at lunch in the drama room - bring your lunch (Prom Royalty and all Commedia Scenes that qualified for Nationals)  We will also run scenes Wednesday after school so we don’t lose them!

SPORTS

Girls Hockey- Please cheer on our girls hockey team for their 1:45 game against St Jean De Brebeuf. Players are getting released at 12:30 for our game in Pelham today. Go cyclones!

Ontario Indoor Rowing Championships are in three weeks on March 1st and ALL Crossley rowers, experienced and novice alike, compete in this regatta, provided they attend and complete the necessary training in preparation for this competition. Novices are reminded of the Tuesday and Thursday practices and are encouraged and welcome to attend any other weekday training.  Miles make champions. Novices are expected to complete a minimum of 3 practices per week to set yourself up for success bit by bit. Life by the yard is hard; life by the inch is a cinch. 90% of life is showing up- Slow and steady we get there. You can do it. Go blue and gold!
