TODAY’S NEWS

During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn till dusk, abstaining from food, drink and other things consumed. This act of self-discipline fosters empathy and strengthens connection to faith. Also, from March 1-19, Baha’is begin Ala, their nineteen-day fast, in preparation for Nawruz, where they do not drink or eat from sunrise to sunset and set aside time for prayer and meditation. Fasting is practiced in various forms across different religions, highlighting a shared commitment to spiritual discipline.

The Lunchtime Literacy program continues today at lunch in Room 302. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Kuczera. We will have pizza today, so make sure you are on time!

What a year! We have another OFSAA medal!!!!  Congratulations to Reed O. who captured a silver medal yesterday at Wrestling OFSAA in Kitchener.  Reed competed in the most challenging bracket with many national level wrestlers and showed incredible determination to come away with an unexpected silver medal to go with his SOSSA championship.  Congratulations as well to Heath O. who placed 5th, also in a very competitive bracket.  After finishing second at SOSSA, Heath surpassed the SOSSA Champion in the bracket.  Congratulations Reed and Heath!!!!
