SPORTS
Badminton: This is a reminder that badminton team try-outs continue today for all grade 9 and 10 players. The next Senior try-out will be Thursday. Grade 9 and 10 players will have another try-out after school on Friday. Formal team practices will start next week. See Mr. Blanchard if you have any questions or can’t make any of the try-outs.
Track & Field: Did you know that the highest pole vault by a male is 6.18m, which was completed by Armand Duplantis of Sweden at the Olympics last summer. That’s only 2m above the Crossley record. Want to see how high you can get? Sign up for Track and Field. Practices start next Monday.
Girls Soccer: There will be a girls soccer open field session tomorrow after school. Please see Di Santo in 306 if you have any questions.
Lacrosse: There will be a meeting today at lunch in room 318 for all those interested in playing lacrosse-see you there.
Rowing: Short or tall, in rowing there is room for all. The rowing team is looking for some coxswains in grade 9 or 10 to join this spring. What does a coxswain do? They are in charge of steering the boat and leading the rowers down the race course with calls and instructions to help them go as fast as they can. Basically, you are a race car driver on water. Anyone interested should see Mr. Ruscitti in Room 206 for more information. ALL rowers are reminded that the regular practice schedule resumes this week and it is very important to continue your consistent attendance and communication as we near the on-water rowing and racing season. Keep it growing. Go blue and gold!
Boys Soccer: Attention to all Junior and Senior Boys soccer players. This is a reminder that our first tryout will take place today, immediately after school outside on the field, and our second tryout will be tomorrow morning at 6:30 sharp. Make sure that you're dressed for the weather and that you bring shin pads. Please see Mr. Shannon in room 301 if you have not already picked up or returned your permission to participate forms.
