DAYS OF SIGNIFICANCE
Bengali New Year (Noboborsho, Pohela Boishakh)-Bengali New Year, also known as 'Poheka Boishakh', is the first day in the Bengali calendar. It is a public holiday in Bangladesh and in India, it is a public holiday in several states and may be celebrated by Bengali communities elsewhere in India.
Puthandu (Tamil New Year)-Puthandu, also known as Puthuvarudam or Tamil New Year, is the first day of the year on the Tamil calendar and traditionally celebrated as a festival. The festival date is set with the solar cycle of the lunisolar Hindu calendar, as the first day of the Tamil month Chithirai. (Buddhism/Taoism)

Welcome to our April spirit week cyclones! This week has country vs. country club today, mini egg colours tomorrow, colour wars on Wednesday and dress up vs. dress down on Thursday. Could teachers please count and record the number of students, by grade, who are either dressed as country or country club. Don’t forget to wear mini egg colours tomorrow!

Attention all grade twelves. Prom tickets are available for sale in school cash online. You can buy your ticket and a date should you be bringing one. If you are bringing a date from outside of the school you will also need to pick up a permission form in the main office. Prom corsages can be ordered in the main foyer all this week at lunch.
