SPORTS

For those interested in Golf, Tennis and Football at Centennial, there will be an important meeting today at the beginning of lunch in the large gym. Don’t miss it if you want to participate in these activities.

ELC Athletics has opportunities for you to complete your community hours by being an official for any of our teams.  We are currently looking for basketball, volleyball and hockey score keepers. Contact Mr. Blanchard  / Ms. Amadio or an Athletic Council Rep if you are interested. We will start training potential scorekeepers next week. There will be an Athletic Council meeting Thursday in the gym at the beginning of lunch.  New members are welcome.

GYM ATHLETIC LOCKERS:  If you would like to use one of the gym lockers, instructions and fees will be posted on the athletic board at the gym doors and Athletic Council will be collecting forms during lunch Thursday and Friday in the gym foyer.  Grade 12 and 11 will have priority until Friday morning followed by the grade 10's and 9's on Friday afternoon (lunch hour).

Welcome to the blue and gold family here at Crossley. Crossley Rowing has a Learn to Row program in the fall allowing newcomers to Crossley Rowing- which includes all grade nines and anyone in any grade who is interested in giving the sport and activity of rowing a try. A unique opportunity that many newcomers have likely not had the chance to try, and one of the biggest teams at ELC. You never know unless you go. The program begins on Saturday, September 13th and there is an open house this Sunday, September 7th from 11am-2pm at the Niagara Rowing School (Jordan). More details to come in the days ahead so stay tuned. Go blue and gold!

There will be a Girls Basketball Tryouts today in the large gym after school for all junior and senior players. If you cannot make tonight's tryout please see Mr. Marquis, Mr. Petro or Mr. Belding. See you on the court.

Junior Boys volleyball tryouts will be tomorrow right after school. See Ms. Di Santo in 306 if you have any questions.
