DAYS OF SIGNIFICANCE
Diwali (Oct 18-23)-Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, celebrates the victory of light over darkness, and good over evil. Diwali lasts for five days and is celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, and some Buddhists. During Diwali, families decorate their homes with colourful lights, candles, and beautiful designs called rangoli. They exchange sweets and gifts, wear new clothes, and enjoy special meals together.

Attention Senior Math students - We would like to introduce the opportunity for a Senior Study Group for Math during Homework Help on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30–4:00 p.m in the library. This is a great opportunity to strengthen your math skills, collaborate with peers, and build confidence in problem-solving. Working together not only improves understanding but also builds valuable study habits. Bonus- If you are a senior student confident in Math who needs more volunteer hours please speak to Mrs. Hutchinson about gaining volunteer hours at Homework Help on Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30-4pm in the Library.

It’s official, the ELC cross country team were the overall team champions at their zone 3 finals from last week! Great job Cyclones!
Attention to all cross country runners, there will be a brief but mandatory meeting today at the beginning of lunch in room 301 (Mr. Shannon’s room) to ensure rides ahead of your SOSSA finals on Thursday.
