CLUBS
Today for Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week, we wanted to thank you Crossley for always holding open doors for one another. While it might seem small, these little acts make a big impact to make our school a kinder place.
Badminton club: 6 pm - 8 pm tonight, bring a friend, recreational play, it will keep you sharp for the tryouts in late February, early March.
The Oddity Film Society will be watching Edgar Wright’s frenetically fueled Baby Driver after school. Instead of Room 305, let’s test drive the lecture hall.
The Wellness Club will be meeting in the back of student services at lunch on Thursday. We will be taking a picture for our Instagram Social Media post to promote Plaid Day. Don’t forget to wear your Plaid! We will also be talking about our upcoming Pizza lunch fundraiser.
SPORTS
The junior boys volleyball team wrapped up an incredible season yesterday at SOSSA. In the semi finals, the team defeated DM and ended up facing a tough Eden team in the finals. Although we didn’t get the result we wanted, the boys played a great game showcasing all of their growth. Congratulations on a very successful season. Please return your jerseys to Ms. Di Santo ASAP.
Rowing: Practices continue this week for all rowers. Experienced rowers have the RADAR erg assessments this week- check the schedule. Novice rowers have the regular Tuesday and Thursday practice after school. Meet in the athletic foyer. All are welcome and feel free to bring a friend. Go blue and gold!
All players who were invited to be a part of the Varsity Boy’s Hockey team are reminded to get their forms in to Mr. Lew or Mr. Blanchard by Thursday. They are also reminded to check their emails regarding the tournament next week.
Your Jr Girls basketball team was in Hamilton yesterday for their SOSSA championship. They played Saltfleet High School in the opening game and did Cyclone things easily spinning past to win. The finals was vs West Niagara. The girls came out strong but West Niagara kept it close being 32-18 at half. The girls were determined to be champions as they came out flying in 2nd half with a final score of 27-67. 🤷♂️
