DAYS OF SIGNIFICANCE
Bodhi Day (Buddha Enlightenment)-In Japanese Zen, Bodhi Day is called "Rohatsu" and is the observance of enlightenment of the historical Buddha. Zen monasteries observe this day with a meditation retreat lasting several days. On the last night of a Rohatsu sesshin, monks and students often sit in meditation until dawn, as the Buddha did 25 centuries ago. (Buddhism)

Looking for something fun to do during the Holiday Activities on the last Friday of school before the break? Come watch the senior Boys and Girls hockey players take on the teachers in a Staff vs. Students hockey game. It is a free event and transportation is provided, but there are limited spots so make sure you sign up quickly on school cash online. (Teachers, last year we had over 240 students sign up but only ~100 actually showed up that day. If you could just let them know to only sign up if they plan on going/being here that last Friday. We have capped the sign up at 120 students. Thanks, Jordan)
