Lincoln Alexander Day-The first Black Canadian member of Parliament (1968), Cabinet minister (1979) and lieutenant-governor (Ontario, 1985), he advocated for the equal treatment of black Canadians. All students are reminded that if they wish to have a timetable change for next semester, they must book an appointment ASAP. No changes will be made as of Friday, Feb. 6th. Also, students wishing to have an appointment to discuss course selections for next year, should do so now. Leaving it to February will be too late as Guidance will be in semester 2 classes assisting with their research.

Rowing:
Regular rowing practices for experienced and novice rowers continue this week at the same crew channel time (after school. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Check in with the coaches for any additional practice details.
Indoor rowing competitions are fast approaching with the Novice Sprints on Feb 14th (novices) and the West Niagara Ergatta on Feb 21st for experienced rowers. All team members will be participating in the Ontario Indoor Champs at Ridley on Feb 28th. In addition, there is the largest team fundraiser of the year- the family friendly and fun event the Pasta Dinner on Feb 7th. Keep up your training and positive attendance and attitudes. Go blue and gold!
