Black Mental Health Day-Black Mental Health Day recognizes the ongoing impacts of anti-Black racism and systemic inequities on the mental health and well-being of Black communities in Ontario. Persistent discrimination across public systems—including education, healthcare, housing, and justice—contributes to unequal outcomes and compounded trauma. This day raises awareness of the specific mental health needs of Black communities and affirms the importance of addressing anti-Black racism through meaningful action.

Attention Badminton team: It’s not too late to sign-up. There will be a practice today after school with Mr. Sanford since Mr. Blanchard will be at hockey. The next practices will be Wednesday and Friday after school. Try-outs will be starting next week. More detailed information is posted in the gym foyer on the practice calendar, please review. See Mr. Blanchard if you have any questions.
On Saturday the rowing team competed at the Ontario Indoor Rowing Championships at Ridley College. Top ten finishers were awarded coveted “Top 10” T-shirts in their events
There were numerous achievements that deserve celebration from all team mates.

Regular practices continue this week for both experienced and novice rowers. The spring on-water rowing and racing season is around the corner. Reminder- spring rowing meeting for all athletes and at least one parent/guardian Tuesday at 6pm in the school cafeteria, with team gear for sale at 4pm and the safety video for novice rowers at 5pm.
The girls soccer season is fast approaching! Come to room 112 at lunch this Tuesday (tomorrow) for a meeting. If you are planning on trying out and cannot attend, please drop by room 112 at some point before then to let Mrs. Wilson know. We are planning on having some indoor training sessions for the next two Thursdays before March Break. More details to come!
