Picture Day is tomorrow. Please come prepared to have your photo taken. When your photo proofs come in, please keep the student ID card for future use, especially if you are involved in rowing. The student ID card is included on the proof page.
Are you a First Nations, Inuit or Metis student? Are you trying to find your circle or your voice? If so, being an Indigenous student rep may be for you! This opportunity is open to all grade 9-12 students. You must apply by October 8th. See Ms. Di Santo for more details.

Hey Cyclones! Interact is having its first meeting of the year TODAY in Room 213 at lunch! Come see how you can get involved, plan fun events, and make a real difference in our community and around the world. Everyone is welcome, and bring a friend!
Are you interested in planning school wide events, making new friends, earning volunteer hours and developing leadership skills? Then join Students Council! We have an open door policy, meaning everyone is welcome to attend our meetings on Wednesdays (today!) in room 112 after school. We also have executive positions available and nomination forms for those positions will be available today from guidance or room 113. If you have any questions please speak to Ms. Ranieri, Mrs. Wilson or Mrs. Varga!
BOOK CLUB: We will meet Monday October 19 2:30 to 4 in the library. Come out to discuss Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro. We will sign up a maximum of 12 students. Stop by the library to pick up a copy and sign up. You can also go to your local library for a copy. Why is it called Klara and the Sun? Come find out. Questions? Ask Miss Wheeler in the library.
Crossley for Christ will be meeting this Thursday at lunch! Join us in room 215 for a short devotional and a great time to socialize and get to know more people. Bring your lunch and a friend. Everyone’s welcome!
ARTS
Attention Crossley actors, writers, and directors there will be a short social and information session today after school in the drama room (room 110) until 3pm. If you can’t make it today, sign up sheets will be posted outside of the drama room starting on Thursday and open auditions for this year’s production will be next Wednesday after school. SPORTS
Attention to all students interested in running for the cross-country team this year. Our first practice will be today after school. Please be changed and ready to meet coach Shannon and coach Kiley in the gym foyer for 2:15.
Today is the last tryout for junior boys volleyball at 2:15. Come on out to try a new sport, make new friends, and have fun! See you there.
Crossley rowing is one of the largest teams at Crossley and has a history of success on and off the water. National Championships. Friends for life. Scholarships. Physical and mental fitness. 😀
Rowing is a unique sport that many students in many schools never get the chance to try- but YOU have that chance here. All grade nines and any NEWCOMER to Crossley or the sport regardless of age or grade is encouraged to try the sport and the team that has changed many blue and gold lives over the years. How do you try it? Two ways.
There is a Try ROW day this Saturday, Sept 12th at the Niagara Community Rowing Club (NCR), home of Crossley Rowing, between 9am-1pm. You can come down at any time and give the sport a TRY for FREE. It is also an OPEN HOUSE.
There is also a Learn to Row program that runs in the Fall at the club and offers flexible times and numerous opportunities to row different boats with different people from the Crossley community. Fun, fitness and friends (old and new). More info to be found at the Open House and Try Row day this Saturday and/or online at www. niagaracommunityrowing.com. More info also coming to all grade nines this week at school and see Ms. Yallup in Room 318 if you have any questions.
