TODAY'S NEWS

It is picture day today in the small gym. Please wait for your class to be called down. Those students with spares can come by on their spare or at lunch.

Yearbooks are here! While you wait to have your photo taken, pick up your pre-ordered yearbook from the yearbook station. If you have friends or siblings who graduated in June, let them know that their pre-ordered yearbook is waiting for pick-up from the main office. 

Are you a First Nations, Inuit or Metis student? Are you trying to find your circle or your voice? If so, being an Indigenous student rep may be for you! This opportunity is open to all grade 9-12 students. You must apply by October 8th. See Ms. Di Santo for more details. 

CLUBS

Do you like Photography? Graphic Design? Journalism? …or just want to give them a try? Yearbook is open to anyone interested in creating content for the 2026-27 yearbook! See Mrs. Pomeroy in room 109 to add your name to the list. Meeting times will be announced soon.

Crossley for Christ will be meeting today at lunch! Join us in room 215 for a short devotional and a great time to socialize and get to know more people. Bring your lunch and a friend. Everyone’s welcome! 

The Oddity Film Society is gearing up to open its doors for the year. So if you like to watch and talk and make movies in a box, with a fox, in a house, with a mouse. If you like to watch and talk and make movies here and there, if you want to watch and talk and make movies anywhere, stop by room 305 during lunch for some information and a permission form.

ARTS

Attention all Crossley Artists!! The first Art Club meeting of the year will be TODAY at LUNCH in room 203 with Ms White. Any and all creative humans are welcome to join - bring your lunch and a friend! :) 

SPORTS

Looking to get fit or to stay sharp for your primary sports or do you just love to run? Come and check out the Cross-country team. Practices run everyday after school but you are only expected to be present for a minimum of 2 runs per week. Runners, see you in the gym foyer after school.

Girls Flag Football: 

There will be a girls flag football practice today at lunch on the field. If you would like to try out, and have not already signed up, please see Ms. Tsioros (pronounced “Tuh-sore-is) in room 407 or on the turf at lunch. All skill levels are welcome! See you there. 

We would like to thank everyone who came out to tryouts for the junior boys volleyball team. Check for your name in the boys change room hallway. If your name is there, there will be a team meeting today at lunch in rm 306. Bring your lunch. 

Rowing is growing, with almost 40 newcomers coming out this weekend to experience the Fall Learn to Row program with Crossley Rowing. Be part of the blue and gold buzz and vibe this weekend by participating with one of the largest teams in the school. How do you sign up? Easy. Go online to niagaracommunityrowing.com and then simply show up at 9 or 11am on Saturday and/or Sunday. If you are having any issues signing up, simply use the email online to ask for help or see Ms Yallup in Room 318 or simply show up at the weekend times and register onsite. Fun, fitness and friends- a winning combo that you definitely want to be a part of. Dr. Seuss says you never know unless you go. Flexible programing, no early mornings and plenty of opportunities to participate in your other extracurriculars.
