DAY OF SIGNIFICANCE
Mabon or Autumn Equinox-This day marks the beginning of Autumn and is the halfway point between Summer and Winter. Many pagans celebrate the festival of Mabon during this time, marked with feasts and rituals to celebrate the second harvest of the year in preparation for the upcoming darkness of winter.
Shunbun-No-Hi-This is a public holiday in Japan with roots in Shintoism. It celebrates the autumnal equinox and families will visit shrines and temples to connect to the graves of ancestors. (Shinto, Japan)
Bi-Visibility Day-Also referred to as Bisexual Pride Day. Since 1999 this day has celebrated the bisexual community while sharing the ongoing challenges of biphobia the community faces. (LGBTQ+)
International Day of Sign Languages-The International Day of Sign Languages is a unique opportunity to support and protect the linguistic identity and cultural diversity of all deaf people and other sign language users.

ELC Hilltop Productions is planning its first movie and needs to meet with our writers, directors, cinematographers, musicians, sound effect technicians, artists, anyone with an interest in making movies. Our first meeting will be today during lunch in room 109.

Congratulations to the varsity baseball team, who won their season-opening game yesterday afternoon in decisive fashion against Westlane. They continue with league play Thursday against AN Myer.
