Happy Friday everyone! To finish our first spirit week we are all comfy in our pjs! Could period 1 teachers please count and record the number of students by grade who are wearing pjs? The email was sent to staff this morning. We will update Crossley Cup numbers next week!
Hispanic/Latin Heritage Month is widely celebrated in the month of October. During this month, we recognize and celebrate the rich history, cultural contributions, and achievements of individuals with roots in Spain, Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. We will be playing a variety of music in the morning to celebrate Hispanic/Latin Heritage month and encourage students to learn more about Hispanic and Latin cultures.

We’re meeting TODAY at lunch in Mrs. Halsted’s room 403. Come explore science topics you’re interested in, build your writing skills, and even have the opportunity to get your work published. Some of our members have already had their articles published in Pelham News!

Congratulations to the Crossley Chess Club for a great showing at yesterday’s tournament at Laura Secord. Crossley was very well represented, and all of our players should be proud of their performance. A special congratulations to Prathamdeep for placing third in the Junior Division. Great job to everyone who participated!

SPORTS
The Junior girls basketball team continued their winning ways yesterday by winning their opener of the Thorold Tournament versus the home school. Merin T., Addy H., Vivian T., and Ava B. all had strong games.
Attention Cross-Country team members: Running practice has been cancelled for today after school. Be sure to continue your own runs over the weekend and be ready to resume our after school runs on Monday.
Meeting for this year’s swim team will happen on Tuesday at lunch in the gym foyer.
Congratulations to the baseball team who closed out the regular season with a win over GFESS. With the win, the team advances to the Semifinals, next Tuesday against Welland Centennial.
